ResolveRun(GlyphRun, IConversionDiagnostics?)

Resolves a laid-out run to the face the built-in renderers draw it with.

public FontFace ResolveRun(GlyphRun run, IConversionDiagnostics? diagnostics = null)

Parameters

run GlyphRun: The run to be drawn.
diagnostics IConversionDiagnostics: The diagnostics sink, or null to discard diagnostics.

Returns

FontFace: The resolved face: the instance the PDF and imaging renderers resolve for the run from this engine. Hand it to Plan(GlyphRun, FontFace, IConversionDiagnostics).

Remarks

A run carries its family and the two flags layout resolved — bold and italic — and no weight or width class, so it is resolved as layout resolved it: weight 700 or 400, the normal width, italic or upright. Both built-in renderers call this method, so a renderer written outside the library that calls it too cannot pick a different face for a run than they do.
