Upgrade(ReportDefinition, ReportSchemaVersion, IConversionDiagnostics?)

Upgrades a definition to a later schema version.

public static ReportDefinition Upgrade(ReportDefinition definition, ReportSchemaVersion target = ReportSchemaVersion.Rdl2016, IConversionDiagnostics? diagnostics = null)

Parameters

definition ReportDefinition: The definition; it is not changed.
target ReportSchemaVersion: The version to upgrade to; 2016 when not given.
diagnostics IConversionDiagnostics: Where to report what the upgrade could not carry, or null.

Returns

ReportDefinition: A new definition in the target version. A definition already in it is returned as a copy.

Exceptions

ArgumentNullException: definition is null.
ArgumentException: target is Unknown or older than the definition: a definition is never downgraded.
UnsupportedFeatureException: The definition's namespace is not one of the report-definition schemas (DXP9001).
