Properties

MaxPreviewRows: Gets or sets the most rows a dataset preview returns.

Metadata: Gets or sets the design-time data service that answers the data pane and the dataset dialog (discovery when no discover delegate was given, test, preview), or null to offer none. It runs in this process over the host's resolver, so the browser still sees field names and capped rows, never a connection.

Resolver: Gets or sets the resolver whose Available list the "new data source" dialog offers, or null to offer none.

Viewer: Gets the backend the preview tab runs the in-memory definition through.

Methods

DiscoverFieldsAsync(byte[], string, string?, CancellationToken): Discovers a dataset's fields from the source, for a definition as it stands in the designer.

GetCatalogAsync(byte[], string, string?, CancellationToken): Describes one of the definition's data sources for the query designer: tables, columns, foreign keys.

GetDataSourcesAsync(string?, CancellationToken): Lists the data sources the host offers authors, by name and kind, for the "new data source" dialog.

ListAsync(CancellationToken): Lists the report paths the store holds.

LoadAsync(string, CancellationToken): Loads a report's RDL bytes.

PreviewDataSetAsync(byte[], string, string?, int, CancellationToken): Runs one of the definition's datasets and returns its first rows, for the dataset dialog.

SaveAsync(string, byte[], CancellationToken): Saves a report's RDL bytes.

TestDataSourceAsync(byte[], string, string?, CancellationToken): Tests one of the definition's data sources: connects, runs nothing.
