PreviewDataSetAsync(byte[], string, string?, int, CancellationToken)

Runs one of the definition's datasets and returns its first rows, for the dataset dialog.

public virtual Task<DataPreview?> PreviewDataSetAsync(byte[] rdl, string dataSetName, string? path, int maxRows, CancellationToken cancellationToken)

Parameters

rdl byte[]

The current definition.

dataSetName string

The dataset.

path string

The report's path, for the host's permission check, or null for an unsaved report.

maxRows int

The most rows wanted; the host may cap it lower.

cancellationToken CancellationToken

Cancels the request.

Returns

Task<DataPreview>

The rows, or null when the host offers no preview.
