Classes
- CatalogRelationship
A foreign key between two tables: the query designer's default join.
- CatalogTable
A table, view or file a data source offers the query designer, with its columns.
- DataPreview
A capped sample of a dataset's rows for a designer's data pane. Client-facing: column metadata and plain values (strings, numbers, booleans, dates, null) and nothing about where they came from.
- DataSetFieldInfo
One field a dataset's query yields. Client-facing: a name, a type name and nullability, nothing else.
- DataSetRows
A dataset's rows as they travel to a client that runs the engine itself — a WebAssembly viewer, whose browser cannot make a synchronous request while the engine asks for data, so every dataset is fetched first. Columns carry CLR type names and nullability; values are plain (strings, numbers, booleans, ISO dates, null) and are typed again on arrival with TypeFromName(string?).
- DataSetSchema
The fields a dataset's query yields, as discovered from the source. Client-facing.
- DataSourceCatalog
The tables, columns and relationships a data source offers the query designer: metadata only, never a row and never a connection string, so it may reach a browser.
- DataSourceTestResult
The outcome of testing a data source. Client-facing: the message names a cause, never a connection string.
- QueryColumn
A selected column: the table, the column, an optional aggregate and alias.
- QueryDesign
Turns a QueryModel over a DataSourceCatalog into query text, and suggests the joins a table brings from the catalog's foreign keys. Identifiers are always bracketed with their
]doubled, and a literal value is quoted with its apostrophes doubled, so no name or value the author types becomes SQL; a value written@Nameis a query parameter, which the dataset binds to a report parameter.
- QueryFilter
A condition on a column: an operator and a value, which is a query parameter (
@Region) or a literal.
- QueryJoin
A join: equal columns pairwise between two tables.
- QueryModel
What the query designer has put together: Report Builder's graphical query designer, as data.
- QuerySort
A sort key.
