Class ResolvedDataSource

Namespace
ReportWright.Data
Assembly
ReportWright.Data.Abstractions.dll

A data source as the host resolved it: what a provider needs to connect. This is where the secrets are, so it never leaves the server — no client-facing type refers to it, and ToString() prints the kind and the name only.

Constructors

ResolvedDataSource(string, string)

Initializes a resolved data source.

Properties

Connection

Gets or sets an open connection or data object the provider interprets instead of connecting itself: a DataSet, a reader factory, a pooled connection. Owned by the host.

ConnectionString

Gets or sets the connection text the provider interprets: a SQL connection string, a REST base URL, a base directory for files. A secret; never copied into a client-facing type.

Credential

Gets or sets a credential the provider interprets: a SqlCredential, a bearer token, or whatever the host's own provider expects. A secret.

Kind

Gets the provider kind: SQL, REST, JSON, CSV, SYSTEMDATA, or a host's own.

Name

Gets the data source's name as the report states it.

Properties

Gets provider options by name, compared ignoring case: a CSV delimiter, a REST method, and so on.

Methods

ToString()

Returns the kind and the name, never the connection text or the credential.
